Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 15 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups uncooked mostaccioli pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Cook the Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain the fat.
2. Sauté Vegetables
- Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced bell pepper to the beef. Sauté until vegetables are softened.
3. Assemble in Crock Pot
- Transfer the beef and veggie mixture to a crock pot.
- Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
4. Slow Cook
- Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
5. Add Pasta
- After 4 hours, stir in the uncooked mostaccioli pasta, ensuring it’s fully coated in sauce.
6. Add Cheese
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan over the top. Cover and cook for another hour, until the pasta is al dente and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve
